Working hours are reported by students in their Weekly Reports. You have to work on average 10 hours per week. Supervisors as well as the course TA receive student reports upon submission and verify if the work reported is reasonable to fulfill the required hours. We trust students are taking this course to learn and this is only possible if they dedicate the hours, thus we believe in students’ honesty in reporting the hours. If a supervisor thinks the hours reported do not justify the amount of work, they will reach out to the student and/or report it to the course TA. As stated in the course social contract, reporting more hours than students worked would be considered cheating and will have serious consequences. Students can work fewer hours if previously agreed with the supervisor but will need to make up for the hours throughout the semester in our other weeks, else the points will not be assigned.
